Ghanaians Wanted To “Kill” NPP In 2020- CEO Public Sector Reforms

Ghanaians wanted to kill the political dreams of the New Patriotic Party during the 2020 general elections, the Chief Executive Officer for Public Sector Reforms, Thomas Kusi Boafo has said.

Touching on issues which didn’t favour the NPP in the last election, Mr. Boafo stated on the Wontumi Morning Show that the attitude from some appointees of President Akufo-Addo in his first term didn’t help the party at all.

He noted that not even flagship programmes implemented by the Akufo-Addo led government could save the party from the intentions of some Ghanaians who were bent on punishing the party during the elections.

Mr. Kusi Boafo explained that electorates from the mining areas were not happy about the way government managed the issue of illegal mining aside the bad attitudes of some NPP MPs and government appointees.

He continued that the NDC benefitted massively from the problems the NPP was faced with and even got surprised they even got the numbers the polled during the 2020 elections.

According to him the NDC never expected their votes to soar like they witnessed after the elections.
