A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) communications team, Ralph Osei Wusu, has issued a stern warning to the government, stating that the party will throw its weight behind Ghanaian youth in demanding answers if the administration fails to fulfill its campaign promises.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, Osei Wusu expressed deep disappointment with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for allegedly deceiving the youth with unfulfilled promises. He argued that the NDC has a history of making lofty promises during election campaigns, only to renege on them when in power.
“We are giving the government a honeymoon period, but after the initial 100 days, we expect to see tangible results. The youth of this country are watching, and if the government fails to deliver, we will support them in demanding answers,” Osei Wusu cautioned.
Osei Wusu specifically mentioned that the government has yet to deliver on its promises to provide coding opportunities for 1 million youth and pay fees for first-year tertiary students. He also criticized the NDC for allegedly using dubious means to win elections.
“The NDC never wins elections fairly; they always find ways to deceive the electorate,” Osei Wusu alleged. “We will not sit idly by while they take the youth of this country for granted.”
Furthermore, Osei Wusu mocked the government’s unfulfilled promise of providing Ghanaians with free hens saying, “Ghanaians have made their coop ready, waiting for the hens that were promised. It’s time for the government to deliver on its promises.”
