Ghanaian Man Begs For Help After Spending Over Ghc200,000 Loan On A Wedding To Impress His Bride

A Ghanaian accountant is on social media begging for help on what to do after he spent his entire life savings plus loan money on a lavish wedding.

From the horse’s own mouth, the man narrated how he blew over GHc200,000 for a plush wedding at the Kempinski Hotel to impress his bride.

He has now run into a heavy debt that his new bride has refused to help him pay so he has reached out to social media users to help in deciding what to do next.

The accountant explained to readers that he opted for a small wedding, nothing fancy but his wife-to-be wanted the wedding that would be the talk of town.

They argued it out for days until the wife-to-be, identified as Freda, threatened to call off the entire marriage if he is not willing to throw her the wedding of her dreams.

He agreed and went into his coffers to bring out the Ghc30,000 he had saved, he added it to his monthly salary of GHc2,500.

The accountant revealed that he was expecting a mid-year bonus of Ghc 75,000 and also intended to request for an advance on his provident fund which was about Ghc40,000.

Knowing that all this money was in the pipeline coming, the accountant stated that he went for a loan to fund the wedding and payback later when he receives all the listed funds.

Unfortunately for him, COVID happened right after his wedding and his employer decided to cut down the salaries, benefits and funds workers receive.

The 75,000 mid-Year bonus was forfeited as well as every advance provident fund withheld.

With the new development, his hope of easily paying the GHc200k loan had gone down the drain.

He had no hope of finding money to pay his debt and to the shock of his life, his wife refused to help him, with the excuse that it is men who marry women so he has to pay for the wedding cost.
