Ghana Midfielder Daniel Kyereh Delighted With St Pauli’s Hard-Fought Win Against Jahn Regensburg

Ghana midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh has expressed delight in St Pauli’s victory over Jahn Regensburg as the Boys in Brown return top of the Bundesliga II table.

The Ghana AFCON star climbed off the bench to snatch the winner as St Pauli ended a run of four games without victory on Sunday.

“It was a hard-fought win. We did it together. We feel good, the mood is good, and we know what we’re capable of. We work hard for it every day and will keep giving it our best shot,” said the Ghanaian after the game.

Kyereh needed less than 10 minutes to make his mark as he scored the winner for St Pauli to clinch a crucial all three points in the 3-2 win.

The goal was his sixth of the season. He has now been involved in 17 goals (11 assists) in 22 games across all competitions for St Pauli.

Kyereh missed the last two league games due to a muscle injury. Before that, he was unavailable for one league game due to his involvement in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

In all three games, St Pauli did not achieve a win, leaving their promotion bid in danger as they dropped fourth.

Kyereh’s goal on Saturday has restored hope because St Pauli are back on top with 12 games to end the campaign.
