GFA President Kurt Okraku, Stephen Appiah Visit Injured Alidu Seidu

Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku and Black Stars Management Committee Vice Chairman Stephen Appiah have visited defender Alidu Seidu following his long-term injury setback.

The Stade Rennes right-back has been ruled out for the season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.

Seidu sustained the injury during a Ligue 1 clash against Lille, landing awkwardly and rupturing his ACL in his left knee.

As part of the GFA’s efforts to support injured players, Okraku and Appiah visited Seidu, who is currently recovering from surgery. The defender underwent a successful procedure in December 2023.

Since making his debut for Ghana in 2022, Seidu has earned 20 caps and scored one goal.

However, his injury will sideline him for Ghana’s upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar in March.
