“Get Third Eye To Protect Akufo-Addo’s Gov’t”- Kusi Boafo To Appointees
Former Chief Executive of Public Sector Reforms, Mr Thomas Kusi Boafo has advised those who would be appointed by President Akufo-Addo to have a ‘third eye’ to protect the government.
“Anybody who would be appointed as a Chief Executive Officer or a Board Member, apart from being competent must have a third eye to protect the government.” he said
Mr. Kusi Boafo who was speaking on Wontumi Radio/TV on Wednesday indicated that the President has said that he will appoint competent and good people to manage the state property so they should not forget.
He emphasized that, the Chief Executive Officers must know their responsibilities and not to trespass into the work of the Board Members.
Mr. Kusi Boafo stressed that, both should know the objectives they want to achieve and work towards it.
He said the appointees should know the danger it will pose to the government if they don’t work effectively.
He advised that, create, loot and share must be avoided.
The Political Science Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology added that, the braggadocious attitude by some of the appointees shouldn’t be entertained.
“Every single act that the appointees will do will have an effect on the government. They should know that whatever they will do in the District or the Region can make the government popular or unpopular.” He further admonished.
