Georgia Lady Tours Markets, Schools To Donate PPE.
Mary-Pat Hector, Georgia based youth advocate on Wednesday toured some markets in the Ashanti region to donate personal protective equipment (PPE) to market women and traders.
Ms Hector also toured some basic schools in the Kumasi Metropolis to donate same items to the pupils.
With support from the Angel Group of Companies, the youngest legal advisor to Barack Obama shared hand sanitizers and nose masks at all the places she toured.
Speaking to the media after the tour in the company of her host, Mr Edmund Kyei, First Vice Chairman of Asokwa NPP, Ms Hector expressed delight at the opportunity to carry out sensitization of the public against COVID-19 disease.
COMMITMENT:
Ms Mary-Pat Hector noted that with the increasing deaths arising out of COVID-19 in America, there was the need for more sensitization efforts to ensure the public do their part to prevent the spread of the viral disease in Ghana.
She therefore stressed her commitment to support efforts of the Ghana government to carry out more education in markets and basic schools to make them aware of the dangers and ways to avoid contracting the dreaded virus.
She commended Mr Edmund Kyei and Dr Kwaku Oteng, CEO of Angel Group for granting the support she needed to make her one day stay in Kumasi comfortable.

At the Atonsu Agogo market, traders thanked the Mary-Pat team for the gesture.
Cheering the team on, others also praised the NPP vice chairman, Mr Kyei for aiding the gesture.
Mary Mensah, a fish seller at the market said the nose masks and sanitizers from the team had come in handy.
Emmanuel Abrokwah, a shoe maker thanked the team for the gesture and said it was a timely one.
