A lecturer at the Christian Service university, who also doubles as an economist, Dr. Joseph Nkoah says, Free SHS policy has transformed many lives.
According to him, over 2 million students have benefitted from the policy since its inception in 2017.
Speaking in an interview on Wontumi TV, on 28th February, 2024, Dr. Nkoah mentioned that the social intervention programme that has changed several lives is Free SHS.
“This is one of the lives Changing social intervention programme since independence. Beneficiaries are about 2 million. I know people have their own reservations but from my experience, if we had such opportunity to be enrolled in senior high schools for free in our era, I would have pursued PHD a long time ago” he said.
He finally remarked that, the president is making a significant progress in the educational system with the STEM initiative.
