The Member of Parliament for Tano North constituency, Hon. Freda Akosua Prempeh has asked former First Lady, Lordina Mahama, to immediately return to the state, all moneys paid to her as monthly allowance.
The deputy minister for Works and Housing in an interview on Wontumi TV stated that the decision by First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo and Second Lady Samira Bawumia to decline a decision by the Ntiamoa-Baidu Committee to receive salary, has shown they are leaders the nation can rely on.
“They have shown leadership and so I expect Lordina Mahama and others to also refund moneys the state has paid to them from day one”, Freda Akosua Prempeh said on the show.
She used the occasion to taut the leadership qualities of First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo stating that she has used her office and foundation to help constituencies that have inadequate hospital items by making huge donations to them.
“The Rebecca foundation has given me more than GHC500,000 worth of hospital items… She even renovated the changing room at El Wak Sports stadium when I called on her for help”, she added.
She also commended Second Lady Samira Bawumia for using her women empowerment program to help young ladies get training as beauticians and dress makers.
