Four MTN Sponsored Graduates Of UCC Grab 1st Class Honours

 

It was joy and excitement when four students of the University of Cape Coast(UCC) who benefited from the leading Mobile Telecommunications Network(MTN) Bright Scholarship Scheme graduated with 1st class honours.

As part of MTN’s support to community development, the company  gave scholarship to four graduate students of UCC including Seth Kofi Pobee who read Physician Assistant Studies programme, Francis Champa, Information Technology , Elvis Attah, Biochemistry and Samuel Appiah, Communications Finance.

The award scheme under the commenced in the 2018/2019 academic year to support brilliant but needy students across the country to improve the quality of lives of people through appropriate and sustainable corporate social responsibility interventions in communities.
Speaking to the media on behalf of the beneficiaries shortly after the 53rd graduation ceremony of UCC, Seth Pobee, thanked MTN for the opportunity.
According to him, the MTN Scholarship package covered their full tuition, accommodation and feeding fees costing over GH¢8,000 per semester.

“I was privileged to be admitted at the University of Cape Coast but looking at my background, am from a poor home so paying my fees was very challenging but MTN came to my aid and wiped my tears and replaced it with joy” he hinted.
Seth Pobee stated that getting a scholarship from MTN was a great relief to him and his colleagues since the scholarship package was very helpful.
