Flagbearer Hopefuls Must Be Guided By NPP Campaign System – Akwasi Osei-Adjei
Mr. Akwasi Osei-Adjei, a former Member of Parliament for Ejisu-Juaben has advised New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopefuls to be guided by the Party’s system and strategy of selecting its leaders in their campaigns.
He has appealed to the presidential candidates of the party to express themselves in their capabilities to lead the party.
The former Minister of Foreign Affairs said the pattern of campaign should change from factionalism to a Party’s system of selecting its leaders.
Mr. Osei-Adjei who intends to vie for the national chairman position of the party said the presidential candidates must not be seen to be putting themselves up as individuals because they are not campaigning for themselves.
“Their interest must not work against the party. Instead their aspirations must work to boost the chances of the party at elections” he suggested and frowned on the current pattern of campaign because it is not the best to campaign as individuals.
The Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry noted that crossing the 8 year myth in governance is paramount hence all efforts including individuals contributions of presidential aspirants, must be done to win the 2024 elections.
Mr. Osei-Adjei further empathised that his mandate as a National chairman hopeful is to win the 2024 elections and called for a more united NPP to face the elections in 2024.
