Five Reasons The Mahamas Can’t Deal With Sammy Gyamfi According Lawyer Maurice Ampaw

Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has shared five (5) cardinal reasons that make it impossible for President John Mahama and his brother Ibrahim Mahama to deal decisively with Sammy Gyamfi in the face of flaunting dollars and generating widespread public backlash.

Propaganda asset

Firstly, Sammy Gyamfi has become a propaganda asset to the Mahamas and his usefulness makes it impossible for the President to deal with him according to lawyer Ampaw.

“He is good at propaganda; he is an asset of Ibrahim Mahama and John Mahama. He was built by the Mahamas”, he said

Handling Mahama’s gold businesses

Secondly, the Mahama family is engaged in gold businesses and Sammy Gyamfi plays a big role in their setup. It is for no reason President Mahama has made Sammy Gyamfi the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana’s GoldBod, lawyer Ampaw shared.

“All the money and gold businesses of the Mahama family are in his hands. He has a big role to play and he knows a lot, he has confidential information”, he said.

Controlling NDC in retirement

Thirdly, age is relatively on the side of Sammy Gyamfi but not the Mahamas want to use him to control the National Democratic Congress (NDC) even in retirement.

“In the future NDC, Mahama wants to hold onto the party. He wants to control the party whilst in retirement”, lawyer Ampaw said.

Money and power

Money and power has made Sammy Gyamfi untouchable within the NDC, lawyer Ampaw has said.

“People like where there is money so they are protecting his interest. At the age of 36 years, he has money in the NDC”, he explained.

Propaganda spirit

Lastly, Sammy Gyamfi carries the spirit of propaganda and his services would be needed in the party in the future, lawyer Ampaw said.
