Feyiase Murder: Court Frees Two Suspects

The Kuntenase District Court has set free two suspects from police custody in connection with the murder of a headteacher.

It would be recalled in July 2021, a driver who doubles as a headteacher, Israel Adjei Manu was gruesomely murdered after some persons beheaded him.
Three persons, including the prime suspect, Rashid Ibrahim, and his accomplices Richard Addae who is an assistant fetish Priest, and Anthony Sekum were arrested.
The two were among the three that were arrested and remanded into police custody when the incident happened.

The court released the two suspects, Richard Addai-35, a traditional priest and Labourer, Anthony Sekum, 22 on grounds of “no prove”.
According to the Police Prosecutor, DSP Eric Akwaboah, the court had no prove against the second and the third accused persons after series of investigation.
His worship, Francis Akia after listening to the prosecutor freed the two suspects.
However, the prime suspect, Rashid Ibrahim is still on remand assisting investigations.
He had told the prosecutor that the two suspects he mentioned names earlier were mistaken identities and have nothing to do with the crime. It was this testimony by the prime suspect that caused the prosecutor to ask the court to free them.
The two after the ruling could be seen with smiles as they walk home to reunite with their families. The family of the late headmaster on the other hand is not happy about the ruling and believes that justice is not being served to their relative.
Meanwhile, Rashid Ibrahim is still in the police custody.
Israel Adjei Manu, bolt driver who doubles as a headteacher was decapitated at Feyiase Akoyem in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti.
The sad incident happened on July 4, 2021.
The decapitated head of the headteacher was discovered metres away from where the body was.
