Highlife artist Fameye stormed off stage in frustration at the Xmas Highlife Concert held at the Dominion Center in London.
The singer expressed deep disappointment with the DJ, whose mishandling of the performance left Fameye visibly upset and the audience bewildered.
Fameye revealed that he had rehearsed extensively with the DJ three times before the event to ensure a flawless performance.
However, things went awry during his set when the DJ played unrelated tracks, including playing songs by rapper Amerado during Fameye’s performance.
Fameye disclosed how heartbroken he was, noting that he had been determined to deliver a memorable show, even if only 10 people showed up.
The mishap forced Fameye to publicly express his displeasure on stage, citing the DJ’s actions as disrespectful to his craft and his fans.
He further walked off the stage and declined to perform.
The incident dampened what was supposed to be a celebratory evening of Ghanaian highlife music in the UK.
