Popular Ghanaian musician Fameye has shared details of a frightening flight experience while travelling from Tamale to Accra.
He stated that although it was not his first encounter with turbulence, it was the scariest.
Speaking on 3Music TV, the “Nothing I Get” hitmaker explained that passengers were informed mid-flight that the plane was running low on fuel and would divert to Kumasi for a stopover.
Fameye said he was comfortable with the decision since Kumasi was his intended destination.
“The craziest one was when we were flying from Tamale to Accra. I don’t know if it was the pilot or the crew, but they said the fuel was running out, so we had to reroute to Kumasi. I was fine with it because I was already heading to Kumasi,” he recounted.
However, while en route to Kumasi, passengers were informed again that the aircraft could not make it there and would instead continue to Accra, as weather conditions had cleared.
“We were on our way when they said the fuel couldn’t take us to Kumasi, but the atmosphere was clear in Accra, so we had to go back,” he added.
Fameye admitted the experience was terrifying, as he was uncertain whether the issue was truly about fuel shortage or another underlying problem.
