Sammy Binfo Dakwah, has confessed that the era of ballot box snatching came to an abrupt end in the Ashanti Region when Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, entered the fray as Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party.

Speaking on Wontumi TV, the NPP man stated that he is forced to throw his weight behind Mr. Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi as he seeks reelection Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP due to the positive changes he has brought to brought on board ever since he was given that opportunity to serve.

The days of snatching ballots boxes is over because we have someone like Chairman Wontumi as Ashanti Regional Chairman”, Sammy Binfo boldy said.

He recounted that before and in 2012, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) used to bully NPP members in Ashanti Region by encouraging thugs to snatch ballot boxes during any exercise that was related to voting.

He continued that it took the intervention of Chairman Wontumi as Ashanti Regional Chairman for such atrocities to come to an end.

In 2012 and before, during any voters’ registration exercise the NDC would come to scatter the entire process. But since Chairman Wontumi came into the picture all that has stopped. People shouldn’t forget where the NPP has come from; it took the sacrifices of people like Chairman Wontumi to put a stop to such activities”, he stressed.

Sammy Binfo therefore called on members of the NPP to get involved in the daily acitivies of the party to ensure they become stronger.
