Former Northern regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bugri Naabu put former President John Mahama to his place as a “small boy” in politics when he rejected a bribe offer from him, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako has said to serve as a reminder to the Inspect-General of Police.
“In 2016 Mahama and Ibrahim Mahama tried to bribe him with car and cash and thought they could buy him with material stuff. Bugri showed him that although he was the president, he was a small boy to him when it comes to politics”, he said.
In a studio interview with Mr. Gordon Asare-Bediako on Movement TV’s Bekyere Mu Show which was monitored by Movementtvonline.com, the NPP Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako alais Chairman Wontumi described Bugri Naabu as a strong willed man who can’t be toyed around with.
His comments stemmed from the discussion around a recording of a controversial plot to oust the IGP from office.
According to Chairman Wontumi the heat has been put on the IGP and he must demonstrate to President Akufo-Addo, the Police Service and all Ghanaians that he can be trusted.
