“Employ More Attahs And Get Duplication Of Good Results As Bonus” , AfDB President Suggests To Nana Addo

Africa Development Bank Group (AfDB) President, Dr Akinwumi A. Adesina, has offered a useful suggestion to the President, Nana Addo to employ more “Attah’s” in his team.

According to him that is a sure way of getting double results or a bonus for a single good-work done.

The AfDB President was giving a special recognition to the brain behind the construction of the Pokuase Intercha ge which is considered not only a novelty but a pet project of the AfDB which funded it.

Dr Adesina used that joke to commend the Road and Highways Minister, Hon Kwasi Amoako-Attah’s fondly called, “Oyi Akwan” (Road Builder) under whose watch a further one tier was added to the Pokuase interchange project to make it a four tier architectural master piece.

The AfDB President noted that the incredible transformation of the interchange from its original format has placed it high among its pet projects across the continent of Africa.

So carried away by Mr Amoako-Attah’s ingenuity and towering stature in the Nana Addo’s government Mr Adesina appeared full of appreciation for the Road Minister’s pedigree.

Before injecting that humour to spice his excellent rendition the AfDB President looked at the direction of the Ghanaian President sitting about six meters away on the podium who nodded in agreement.
After the programme Mr Amoako-Attah who was visiby amazed said he felt “greatly humbled” by the the AfDB President’s flattery.

According to him he once engaged in a causal conversation with Dr Adesina on the Pokuase interchange which has become an iconic edifice during which he expained the meaning of his name, “Attah” as a local name for a twin not knowing it would be used to give him an unprecedented approval rating, even though a humour at such an important international forum.”
