The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako has tasked the Ashanti Regional NPP Women to use signs and data to campaign for the party.
He said that, they are the modern Yaa Asantewaa who can help NPP retain power.
He said that, he is very happy to swear-in the first ever NPP Ashanti Regional Women Committee.
Addressing the gathering at the Ashanti Regional NPP Women’s Campaign Launch in Kumasi and monitored by Wontumionline.com, he added, “you are NPP soldiers that can help the party retain victory on December 7th.
Chairman Wontumi as he is affectionately called, noted that, out of the 47 Parliamentary seats in the Region, the party has 43 and that it is the core mandate of the Women to help the party win the agenda 47/47.
The NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman, challenged them to reach all women and canvass for more votes for the party.
“Go to the mosques, churches, markets and every place and campaign for the party,” he stressed.
“We are protecting what we have and praying we win the remaining 3 seats,” he said.
Chairman Wontumi emphasized that, if Women are comfortable in national development, men would also be comfortable.
“Former President Kufour introduced free maternity but it was cancelled by NDC when they came to power. You must be serious in this campaign,” he urged the women.
