Election 2020: NPP To Make History In Kpone Katamanso- DCE Hints
District Chief Executive for Kpone Katamanso in the Greater Accra Region, Hon. Solomon Appiah, has predicted that, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) would make history in the December polls.
He said that, the NPP’s Parliamentary candidate for the area, Hon. Hopeson Adoye is working hard to make history come December 7.
He has done everything possible to win and, “ Insha Allah” , by December 7, he would be crowned the new MP for Kpone Katamanso.
Describing the NPP campaign in his areas as generally successful , Hon Appiahb said said that “everything is going on smoothly. We are on track with the right message, Four More for Nana which is catching on.”
According to Hon. Appiah who was speaking on the Election 2020 flagship programme, Nana Akufo-Addo’s name has already been written on the wall as the winner of the polls.extension, gravelling
He revealed that, about 128,000 registrants participated in the new voters ‘register.
He added that the poor nature of roads in the area continues to pose a problem but “with the work we have done so far in the areas such as grading, gravelling, rehabilitation and pot hole patching among others, the people have gained confidence in our ability to meet their needs unlike the NDC.”
The MCE continued that apart from the provision of several infrastructure projects in the Municipality, the investor response to the One District One Factory (1D1F) policy has been very encouraging. He disclosed as many as four industrial projects have been sited in the Municipality. They are, Delawin Farms, Mass industries, Golden Africa and Zonda.
He said another striking feature of the rapidly developing Municipality is that the country’s massive railway rehabilitation project has been extended to the area.
“We form part of the extension of the new railway lines from Tema – Akosombo pass through our land space. “ We are just anxious to start reaping the fruits of the railway transformation programme by the government.” Hon Appiah noted.
John Mahama Is A Desperate Politician- Nana Oteatuoso Attacks
Etwienana Baffour Oteatuoso Kokoben II, has responded to a claim by the NDC’s flagbearer John Mahama that the NDC introduced the free Senior High School, arguing that, “It’s only a desperate politician who would take credit for the introduction and implementation of the Policy.”
He wondered why John Mahama would look into the face of Ghanaians to say that, “he launched the free SHS policy in 2015”
In an interview on Wontumi Radio/TV Nana Oteatuoso said that, John Mahama is a desperate politician otherwise he wouldn’t have made such an “opportunistic statement.”
The Akyem Royal said it is a result of all such reckless remarks by the former President that Nana Akufo-Addo openly told John Mahama “to stop lying because he has nothing to offer the country.”
“I side with Nana Akufo-Addo when he said that John Mahama has nothing good to offer the country.” He said.
Nana Oteatuoso holds the view that the true character of the former President is to tell lies’
“I’m not surprised to hear him say the other day that when it is election, you mix lies with the truth to win power. John Mahama should stop spewing lies”. He teased.
