Ejura Unrest: You Were Asked To Restore Calm, Not To Kill- Richard Boadu Blasts Military
The Ashanti Regional Communications Director for the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has described the shooting incident at Ejura by the military as unprofessional. The shooting incident left 2 persons dead on its trail.
He said, the military were ordered to go and restore peace and not to shoot and kill the protestors.
Speaking on The Privilege Morning Show on Wontumi Radio/TV, he questioned the military, “did you go to calm the situation or revive it?”
Boadu indicated that, the military are professionals and as a matter of fact should have demonstrated it.
“It is a bad act for a soldier to kneel and shoot as if he is at war front,” he told Nana Konadu Abu Prah.
According to the PPP Communications Director, such gruesome acts tarnish the image of the government.
He indicated that, the perpetrators must be brought to book.
“This is simple for Ghana Police to nab the perpetrators. The Ejura youth should exercise constraints.” he emphasized.
