Ejura Riots Should Be A Lesson To Us, We Don’t Want A Repetition- Manhyia North MP Advises
The Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Hon. Akwasi Konadu has cautioned the general public to learn lessons from the Ejura impasse.
He said, Ghanaians are not ready to witness a repetition of that sad event.
Hon. Akwasi Konadu in an interview on Wontumi Radio/TV commended President Akufo-Addo for setting up a committee to probe the incident.
He appealed to the committee to honestly produce whatever that transpired.
According to Hon. Konadu, some of the comments from a section of the media practitioners fueled the riot.
The MP for Manhyia North explained, some of the broadcasters are bossy to the extent that, they only think the information they are passing out is credible.
He said, they only think about their number of viewership and listeners they will accrue when passing out comments on issues but do not think about the mayhem it will create.
“We should apprehend any person who will try to turn the the country to a Chaos,” he told Oheneba Nana Asiedu.
“The consumers of the information should also seek clarification of the information before embarking on a protest.”
