The Ministry of Information in collaboration with the office of the Chief Imam, Council of Zongo Chiefs and Imams have directed all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies(MMDAs) to collaborate with their respective Police Commanders and other security apparatus to ensure that there are no Regional and District prayers.
The communique signed by Hon. Henry Quartey and captured by wontumionline.com stated that, the security service will ensure that there are no street carnivals within the Zongo communities.
“MMDA Security Councils should also ensure that, there are no social activities involving crowds at any particular time during the Eid celebrations,” the statement further said
