EduSports has launched a special project with TUSK Foundation dubbed eCampus to help student-athletes with funds to support them in their education.
The project aims at improving the academic performances of student-athletes by enrolling them on to an eCampus platform that ensures young individuals gain access to a plethora of teaching and learning materials from basic school to the tertiary level online.
eCampus has an in-built feature to monitor the academic activities of an individual who will be enrolled on their platform to ensure students meet all requirements.
The special programme will be facilitated by TUSK Foundation, RITE Sports Limited and eCampus LLC.
As part of the EduSports commitment to the initiative, a cheque of 2,000,000 Ghana Cedis ($263,917) was presented to TUSK Foundation as the initial investment to enroll 1,200 young individuals on the eCampus platform for free.
TUSK CEO Lester Achiah stated, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to eCampus and personally to Mr Cecil Senna Nutakor for making our partnership a reality. It is my fervent belief that our partnership will endure for many years to come” in response.
On his part, Cecil Nutakor entreated the youth to not “waste this opportunity” but “use the technology” before going on to state that 300 individuals have already subscribed to the project.
RITE Sports CEO Yaw Sakyi Afari added, “it is my responsibility to ensure that this partnership is not only executed in Adenta but this should be replicated in different parts of the country”.
