Education Ministry Explains National Standardized Assessment Test
The Ministry of Education has explained in detail the National Standardized Test (NSAT) which would be written by Primary 4 pupils.
According to the Deputy Public Relations Officer for the Education Ministry, Yaw Opoku Mensah, the NSAT forms part of the government effort to improve learning outcomes and reduce learning poverty.
Speaking on Wontumi Radio Morning Show he said, it will evaluate the primary 4 pupils on whether they can read or not and this will also help the government to eradicate dyslexia among them.
“We don’t want to let them write BECE to lament on their results. We want them to be smart in the core subjects,” Yaw Opoku Mensah told the host, Oheneba Nana Asiedu.
He noted the NSAT is the first of its kind to be introduced into Ghana’s Education system.
