Education Ministry Disquiet Over Alleged Konongo Odumasi SHS Homicide

The Ministry of Education says it’s perturbed over the alleged stabbing of a student at Konongo Odumasi Senior High School.

This was disclosed by the Deputy Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the Ministry, Yaw Opoku Mensah in an interview on Wontumi TV Morning Show.

“It’s very disgusting and what will make a student commit such gruesome murder?” Yaw Opoku Mensah asked.

He indicated that, the Education Ministry is interacting with the Security agency in making sure the perpetrators face the full rigours of the law.

He advised students to be careful and shun the officious attitude in the school.

Yaw Opoku Mensah urged the various SHS house masters to do routine checks in the dormitories to prevent such heinous crimes going forward.

“Ghana Education Service (GES) should also start educating the students through Guidance and Counselling on the dos and don’ts on criminality,” he further urged.
