Edmund Kyei Donates Nose-Masks, Cash To Lady Julia Clinic And Asokwa MP.
The first vice-chairman of the Asokwa branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Edmund Kyei on Thursday, 26th November, 2020 donated boxes of KN nose masks and an undisclosed amount of money to officials at the Lady Julia Health Center at Kuwait-Oti.
The gesture was to assist the health facility deal with the threat of COVID-19 as well as challenges and emergencies at the Kuwait-Oti based clinic.
At a short presentation ceremony at the facility, the first-Vice said he was happy to be able to support the clinic since it provided care to a lot of people in the Kuwait-Oti electoral area as well as many others who visited from other communities.
Mr Kyei said COVID-19 was real and therefore noted such support was intended to create the necessary awareness to the public to take precautions against the viral disease.
SUPPORT TO ASOKWA MP:
Earlier, the Vice-Chair donated 10, 000 pieces of nose masks to the Member of Parliament for Asokwa, Madam Patricia Appiagyei at her residence.
Mr Kyei told newsmen after a brief presentation ceremony that the gesture was to support the campaign of the two-time MP who is gunning for a third term in Parliament.
He noted that Madam Appiagyei had used the opportunities and privileges as MP to support the needy in Asokwa with most of the youth getting jobs through her lobbying efforts.
The Vice-Chairman, therefore, asked the electorate to renew the mandate of the female legislator for her to continue in the efforts of making Asokwa a first class community.
APPRECIATION:
After the donation at the Lady Julia Health Center, Mr Abraham Owusu Afram, Physician Assistant at the Health-Center commended the NPP vice-Chair for the gesture.
He noted this was the first time an individual who does not occupy any official position in government was donating to support the facility.
On her part, Madam Patricia Appiagyei at her residence said the donation by the Vice-Chairman was timely.
She noted that the public seem to relax the protective etiquette against COVID-19, adding that with the provision of the high value nose masks awareness can be made with the distribution of the same to the public especially residents of Asokwa.
