EBL Foundation Empowers Students With Financial Literacy And Ethical Leadership Skills

The Empowering Better Life (EBL) Foundation has taken a significant step in promoting financial literacy and ethical leadership among students by launching a program at St. Peters Catholic School in Papaase, Central Region. The foundation’s CEO, Mrs. Alma Adade-Prempeh, led the initiative, imparting valuable lessons to students on the importance of managing finances effectively.

During the visit, Mrs. Adade-Prempeh emphasized key principles of financial literacy, including saving, budgeting, and responsible spending. She advised the students to prioritize their needs over their wants, think before spending, and avoid borrowing unnecessarily. “Always save a little and spend less than you earn. Don’t compare yourself to others; cut your coat according to your size,” she counselled.

The CEO also highlighted the qualities of a good leader, stressing that true leadership is not about titles, but about actions. “As a leader, it’s your actions that matter, not your title,” she said. “Speak up for your rights and the rights of others.” This emphasis on ethical leadership is designed to equip students with the skills and confidence needed to make a positive impact in their communities.

As part of the program, the EBL Foundation launched the SMART Leaders club in the school, aimed at fostering ethical leadership and financial literacy among students. The club will provide a platform for students to develop their skills, share ideas, and learn from one another.

She distributed mathematical sets, notebooks, hand sanitizers, pens and snacks for all students.

In addition to the educational materials, the foundation donated two modern printers to the school, along with an undisclosed amount of money to further support the institution’s needs.

The Empowering Better Life Foundation’s initiative is a commendable effort to empower the next generation with essential life skills. By teaching financial literacy and ethical leadership, the foundation is helping students develop into responsible and informed individuals who will shape the future.

Through initiatives like the SMART Leaders club, the EBL Foundation is investing in the country’s future by equipping young people with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
