E- Levy Mayhem: Parliamentarians Now Working For The Benefits Of Ghanaians- Governance Expert
A Governance Expert, Dr Isaac Kofi Adu Yamoah says Ghanaians should not be perturbed about the recent chaos which erupted at Parliament following the E-levy voting.
According to Dr Isaac Adu Kofi Yamoah, the Parliamentarians are now working for the benefit of Ghanaians.
Participating on Wontumi Radio Morning Show, he noted that what transpired at the floor of Parliament Monday night was a clear indication that, Ghana’s democracy is ripening.
The Governance Expert stressed that should the legislators engage in bloody chaos and receive multiple injuries Ghanaians should be grateful to God and “just boil water to massage them.”
According to him, some advanced countries have experienced such before and it made their Parliamentary decisions better.
“The confusion will let both Minority and Majority be disciplined. Going forward every bill that would be laid before Parliament, be approved via consensus,” he said.
Dr Isaac Adu Kofi Yamoah emphasised that the MPs will soon earn the respect of Ghanaians.
