Renowned lawyer, Maurice Ampaw has described Duncan Williams as a manipulative preacher who deliberately befriends every elected President in Ghana so he can control them as his puppets.
Maurice Ampaw cautioned President John Mahama not to fall prey to the antics of the famous preacher.
He continued that general overseer of Action Chapel International Ministry, wants to establish and maintain constant communication with President Mahama so he can manipulate him.
“Does he want the president to always come before him for anointing and prayers? We don’t govern with anointing, we govern with wisdom, intelligence, honesty, truthfulness and tactfulness”, he said.
Speaking on Wontumi TV last Sunday, lawyer Maurice Ampaw stated that since the days of the late former President Rawlings, Duncan Williams has been using this same strategy.
“Since I got to know him (Duncan Williams), he wants to control and manipulate every President. He started with Rawlings; when he does his deals and get caught, Rawlings would have to come and intervene. Duncan Williams wants to have control over every President”, he said.
Luck however eluded him when Akufo-Addo became President as according to lawyer Maurice Ampaw, the former President didn’t allow Duncan Williams to manipulate him.
“So when it got to Nana Addo and he didn’t get access to control him, then he started preaching against him”, he said.
“You have prayed for the President and so what? Where in the constitution does it say the President should govern with the council of ministers? What is your role as men of God in the constitution?” he quizzed.
