The American Vice President was addressing thousands of young Ghanaians at the Black Star Square on Tuesday, March 28 as part of her three-day visit to the country.
Consisting of students, young professionals, musicians, actors and young leaders, the audience was charged to take their place in the future of the world.

She was particularly concerned about equal rights and opportunities for all irrespective of which country one is in.
“To be clear, America will be guided not by what we can do for our African partners but what we can do with our African partners,” she stressed.
“Together, we will address the challenges that we will face and the incredible opportunities ahead.”
She underscored the fact that the ingenuity and creativity of the youth in Africa will shape the future not only for the continent but the world, citing innovations such as M-PESA in Kenya and Zipline’s medical drone delivery service.
“Let’s look, for example, at what is happening across the continent in technology, science, agriculture and clean energy where innovation is solving local problems and global problems.”
Aside women empowerment, Vice President Kamala Harris also underscored digital inclusion and good governance as areas that can turn around the economies of African countries.
