A lecturer at Kumasi Technical University, Dr. Samuel Afriyie, has publicly endorsed former EPA Boss, Dr. Kwabena Kokofu as his preferred candidate for NPP’s General Secretary position.
Speaking on Wontumi’s morning show, Dr. Afriyie cited the current General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong as part of the party’s defeat, solidifying his decision to choose Kokofu instead.
“The party needs a fresh perspective and strong leadership to move forward. Kokofu has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of the party’s grassroots. I firmly believe he is the ideal candidate to lead our party as General Secretary, ” Dr. Afriyie emphasized.
Dr. Afriyie also expressed his support for Hon. Hawa Koomson, MP for Awutu Senya Constituency, for the national woman organizer’s position. He praised her as a strong, fearless, and grassroots-oriented leader who has consistently demonstrated her commitment to the party’s values.
Dr. Afriyie concluded by promising to campaign vigorously for his preferred candidates, ensuring that the party selects the best leaders to drive its success.
