Dr. Ayine’s Actions Were Driven By Evil Intentions- Kwasi Kyei On Dropped Charges Against Some Former State Officials

You Are Either A “Fool” Or “Mad” To Say We Should Go To IMF- NPP Comms Director

Former Ashanti regional Communication Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwasi Kyei, has accusing Dr. Dominic Ayine of having evil intentions.

Mr. Kyei’s remarks come after Ayine claimed that former President John Mahama was unaware of the decision to drop charges against some former state officials.

Kyei vehemently disputes Ayine’s claim, stating that Mahama must have been aware of the decision, given the significant amounts of money involved. He cited examples of high-profile cases, including Collins Dauda’s $200 million charges, Opuni’s $270 million case, and Asiamah’s reappointment as governor of the Bank of Ghana despite his alleged role in the collapse of UT and Unibank.

“I know he is lying, Mahama is very much aware. Almost $500 million, which could have been retrieved from these charges, you claim Mahama knows nothing about this. What hurts me most is Collins Dauda’s $200 million charges against him. He was tasked to build 5,000 housing projects; he started building only 1,200 and only completed about 680 without sewage systems. $87 million is being required by a new contractor to complete it, “Kyei stated.

Kyei also expressed outrage over Asiamah’s reappointment, saying: “Look at what we lost when he was deputy; you can imagine what he will do when he’s now the substantive governor. 660 million cedis was lost during his tenure as deputy, and for such a person, how do you drop charges against him?”

Kyei questioned Ayine’s motives, suggesting that his actions were driven by evil intentions. He called on Ghanaians to demand accountability and transparency from their leaders, ensuring that those responsible for corruption and mismanagement are held accountable.
