The Bono Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe Abronye, has revealed that the Inspector General of Police, Mr. George Akuffo Dampare, has personal issues with him leading to his arrest.
Speaking after he was released from police custody on Wontumi TV, the NPP Chairman stated that his arrest was a “populist” tactics deployed by the police headed Mr. Dampare for optics.
He reiterated that his arrest was a personal score the IGP wanted to settle and it generated because he once told him (Dampare) in the face that he is “incompetent” to be considered as an IGP.
“He doesn’t talk to me. I have met him severally at the Police headquarters and when I greet him, he doesn’t answer”, Abronye said in an interview monitored by Movementtvonline.com.
