Criminals Have Tried Breaking Into President Akufo-Addo’s Nima Residence Three Times - Journalist Blows Alarm

Criminals have tried breaking into the home of former President Akufo-Addo on three occasions but nothing has been done by the Ghana Police Service.

Veteran journalist Gordon Asare-Bediako has chided the Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service, Geroge Akuffo Dampare, for failing to act after criminals have attempted on three (3) occasions to break into the Nima residency of the former President.

Speaking on Movement TV’s political show dabbed Movement in the Morning, Gordon, stated the height of insecurity was increasing each day because the IGP has failed to put the situation under control.

Speaking also on the chaotic scenes recorded during the Council of State elections in Ashanti region, the respected journalist accused the IGP of becoming a security threat to the state.

“Dampare has become a security threat to Ghana. Now macho men can commit crimes and get away with it”, he said.

The state of insecurity in the country has gotten some men of God and High Court judges to carry along their firearms everywhere they go.

“I know a man of God and a High Court judge who now go to work during the day carrying their fire arms”, he said about the situation.
