The Kwadaso–Edwinaase Circuit Court has remanded Isaac Boafo, popularly known as “Duabo King”, into police custody for one week over allegations of publishing false information that allegedly caused fear and panic among the public.
The court’s decision follows charges brought against Boafo by the police for allegedly spreading false claims in a video.
Prosecutors argue that the publication created public alarm, leading to his arrest and subsequent arraignment before the court.
Addressing the media on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the forecourt of the Kwadaso–Edwinaase District Court, counsel for the accused, Lawyer Kofi Boapong, explained that the court declined bail because his client did not admit to the charges.
He further argued that the individuals mentioned in Boafo’s video are not police officers, insisting that his client, as a content creator, is not guilty of the allegations.
Lawyer Boapong stated that the case has been adjourned to March 10, 2026, when the prosecution is expected to present evidence to substantiate the charges.
Until then, Isaac Boafo will remain in police custody, awaiting the next hearing.
