The Ashanti regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako has congratulated Adwoa Safo for gathering courage to apologize to the party for her recent behavior.
Speaking on the apology which was rendered by the Dome-Kwabenya constituency Member of Parliament (MP), the NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi said “Adwoa congratulations, you have done well. God is the judge not human. You have done well”.
He explained that the candidness of Mrs Safo should be praised because according to him, “not everyone is willing to accept a fault and ask for forgiveness”.
“Adwoa Safo has distinguished herself from a lot of people in the NPP. She stands at a better place than such people in the NPP who have disappointed the party in so many ways. If everyone in the NPP would emulate her and ask for forgiveness, the party would move on”, Chairman Wontumi said.
Mrs Safo clarified that her actions were unintended and were a result of personal challenges she was grappling with, both as an individual and as a member of a family.
The former Deputy Majority Leader also sought forgiveness from the Majority Caucus, as well as from the party’s regional and constituency executives.
