Chiefs Must Be Involved In Measures To Curb Sanitation Problems – Amakomhene
Nana Adu Mensah Asare, the Chief of Amakom has urged the various assemblies to include chiefs in decision making to help curb poor sanitation issues in our various communities.
He stated emphatically that chiefs were once respected highly in our societies since they were included in decision making but it has changed in these days which he thinks is the main cause of excessive poor sanitation issues in the country.
Nana Adu Mensah Asare who represented the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was speaking at a Sanitation Dialogue held in Kumasi by the Graphic Communications and Zoomlion.
He further urged the assemblies to enforce the sanitation by-laws which is very important.
He opined that an investment needs to be done within the Sanitation Ministry to help turn our waste into resources to help create employment in the country.
