Chairman Wontumi Urges Kennedy Agyapong and Abronye to Cease Fire for the Sake of NPP Unity

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has called for calm between party stalwarts Kennedy Agyapong and Kwame Baffoe Abronye.

Speaking on recent tensions between the former Member of Parliament for Assin Central and NPP flagbearer aspirant, Kennedy Agyapong, and the Bono Regional Chairman, Abronye, Chairman Wontumi urged both parties to put aside their differences for the unity of the party.

“We are friends in the same party. Please take all the pain in you and let it go. The pain will do more harm than good. Your reactions will make it a problem though it’s not a big problem,” he said.

Chairman Wontumi emphasized the importance of party unity ahead of the 2028 general elections, stressing that a united front is critical for victory.

He also appealed to supporters of both sides to respect the party’s decisions and exercise restraint when dealing with issues involving their leaders.

Chairman wontumi made this appeal while speaking in an interview with Kumasi based wontumi TV /Radio.
