The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Chairman Wontumi has reiterated his desire for the party to present a united front as they move towards the 2024 general elections.
To demonstrate this, he happily invited and shared the stage with Odeneho Kwaku Appiah during the party’s national launch and roll-out of new membership cards at the Premepeh Assembly Hall.
He electrified the room by inviting the entire audience to chant “we are one” as he led the call for party cohesion.
The ceremony which had President Akufo-Addo and all national executives of the party in attendance witnessed its icing on the cake when Chairman Wontumi embraced Odeneho Kwaku Appiah and called him “my brother”.
Chairman Wontumi used the platform to also take a dig at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for wishing the NPP was divided after retaining his position as Ashanti Regional Chairman.
“We are going to work together. The NDC was waiting to see division but it will never happen. We are going to work together and that division they wished for would never happen”, Chairman Wontumi promised.
