Chairman Wontumi has placed former Ashanti Regional Police Commander, Kofi Boakye under citizen’s arrest.
“I am placing Kofi Boakye under citizen’s arrest. Anybody who knows his whereabouts should contact me and bring him to me”, he ordered.
The Ashanti regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has accused retired Commissioner of Police Kofi Boakye of training miscreants in the Ashanti region to create havoc during the 2024 elections.
“If he dares bring violence to Ashanti region, I will teach him a lesson and place him where he belongs”, he warned.

Speaking in a mean tone on the Wontumi Morning Show, Chairman Wontumi slammed COP Kofi Boakye for lobbying some government officials in the Akufo-Addo government to be considered as Inspector General of Police.
“You wanted to be IGP under our tenure…but he is training NDC people to bring violence here”, Chairman Wontumi said.
He continued that “I am going to deal with you… Wontumi, I will deal with you. I am braver than you and I will deal with you”.
