Chairman Wontumi

Chairman Wontumi has offered Franklin Cudjoe free education on Ghana’s economy.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) believes that because the President of Imani Africa doesn’t “read and learn“, he is unable to tell how COVID-19 has destroyed world economies.

Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako maintains that instead of bashing the government of Nana Akufo-Addo unnecessarily, Franklin Cudjoe should champion the agenda to get his colleagues in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to support E-Levy.

Speaking directly to Wontumionline, Chairman Wontumi posited that from 2019 that COVID kicked in, the economy of USA, has shrunk forcing the once mighty nation to borrow money more than ever.

Prices of goods and services in US have gone high and now President Biden is pleading to his people that the only way they can survive as a nation is to allow prices go up”, Chairman Wontumi said.

He also advised Mr. Franklin Cudjoe that before he attacks and brands Ghana’s economy as failed, he should take a look at the Chinese economy and that of UK before passing unfounded comments.

The Chinese economy has also suffered since COVID kicked in and the situation isn’t different in the UK as well. The economy of UK has not been spared at all and there is even food shortage there”, Chairman Wontumi disclosed.

Bright side of Ghana’s economy

According to Chairman despite the hardships that spread across the world, Ghana has managed to show that it has what it takes to develop even in the face of adversity.

Ghana doesn’t have the resources US and China has but we can testify that even in the face of adversity, roads are being constructed and our education is on course to be the world best. We have performed better than US, UK and China in this era of COVID”, Chairman Wontumi opined.
