Chairman Wontumi has travelled to meet with business partners in China, where he reaffirmed his commitment to bringing electric vehicles to Ghana.
This move aligns with the recent discovery of lithium in Essiam by AkosDwomo Mining Company Ltd., a fully Ghanaian-owned company. Lithium is a crucial component in electric car batteries, making this discovery a game-changer for Ghana’s electric vehicle ambitions.
Renowned international geologist, commended AkosDwomo Mining Company Ltd. for their lithium exploration efforts, stating, “We’re moving towards renewable energies, and lithium is a key player in battery production. AkosDwomo is on the right track, and this is an opportunity we can’t miss.”
Chairman Wontumi expressed his commitment to ensure that Dr. Bawumia’s pledge is materialized, to revolutionize the country’s transportation sector, reducing carbon emissions and embracing a cleaner, greener future.
