The Ashanti Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Yandoh, has praised Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, for his consistent contributions to the party, insisting that he has never disappointed the NPP.
Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show hosted by Kyeremanteng Nkansah (KK), he stated that Chairman Wontumi has demonstrated the capacity and leadership qualities required to serve as National Chairman of the party.
“Chairman Wontumi has shown everyone that he can lead the party as National Chairman. He has never disappointed the NPP,” Yandoh said.
He recalled that during the 2020 general elections, when physical campaigning was limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Chairman Wontumi effectively used his media platforms to mobilize and energize party supporters, contributing significantly to the party’s electoral success.
According to him, the NPP’s 2028 flagbearer, Mahamudu Bawumia, will need the experience, grassroots strength, and dedication of Chairman Wontumi to help return the party to power in the 2028 general elections.
He also dismissed claims that Chairman Wontumi has failed to build a party office, arguing that electoral victories are more important than physical infrastructure.
“Even if Chairman Wontumi has not built a party office, he has consistently delivered victories for the NPP. He helped secure 39 parliamentary seats, and that is no small achievement,” he stressed.
