Chairman Wontumi Carries “Four More For Nana’” Message To Kumasi Traders In An Historic Door To Door Campaign
Chairman Wontumi on Tuesday carried the NPP’s poignant campaign message, “Four More For Nana to do More” to the Central Business District (CBD) of Kumasi and received a thunderous applause in return.
Chairman Wontumi’s message to the enchanted crowd at the Kejetia New Market, Alar Bar and Bode Market was crafted in a simple language: “The future of your children is in your own hands and if you allow this golden opportunity to slip through your fingers, your children and posterity will never forgive you.” She told the enchanted crowd, most of them women traders.
Chairman Wontumi who was accompanied by some Regional Executive Officers including the Women organizer, Nana Amma Ampomah, first visited the Kejetia newly constructed market where he was mobbed by scores of traders. He further advised the crowd not to disappoint Nana Addo
“Go out there and vote in your numbers for both Nana Addo and the Parliamentary candidates standing on the ticket of the NPP because what will give us the required tally are your votes. ” He told the enchanted crowd.
According to Chairman Wontumi, Nana Addo has done a lot to improve the lives of ordinary Ghanaians through his social intervention programmes which have “won our leader who is currently the Chairman of ECOWAS an international acclaim.”
The Ashanti Regional Chairman who has used the platforms of his TV and Radio networks to wage a fierce campaign for the NPP in the past eight months was upbeat about the chances of the NPP winning the elections by positioning the Ashanti voter “as the one who can deliver victory for the ruling party .”
“Our party’s strength is in Ashanti so the more you go out to the polls to vote the brighter our chances will be because a massive turn out at national elections has been the tradition in Ashanti and our hope in December is that we would even see more voters than ever exercising their franchise to guarantee us victory.”
A huge consignment of sanitizers, nose masks, and party paraphernalia were given to the Kejetia Petty Traders Association, Chairman Nana Akwasi Prempeh to distribut among the traders.
There was near stampede at some of the trading joints when some of traders tried desperately to catch a glimpse of Chairman Wontumi and his entourage and to hear the message they had for them.
Also on the campaign tour were NPP Ashanti Regional Organizer, Francis Adomako the Youth Employment Agency’s CEO Mr. Justin Koduah and the Ashanti Regional Officer of MASLOC Hajia Zenabu.,
