Chairman Wontumi Appeals To Embassies In Ghana To Force John Mahama To Debate Bawumia

The Ashanti regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has made an appeal to embassies in Ghana to force former President John Mahama to debate vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.

His appeal follows a clear intent by the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to avoid debating the flagbearer of the NPP over fears it will completely diminish his chance of convincing voters to vote for him.

Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi stated that he is shocked Mr. John Mahama has been unable to name a single policy to Ghanaians despite being in opposition for more than seven (7) years.

He therefore asked a host of embassies including the American, UK, Germany, Netherlands and Spanish etc not to take Mr. Mahama and the NDC serious since he is refusing to debate Bawumia.

“They are joking so don’t take them serious. In your respective countries, all political parties debate but why is that our former president is running away from debate. He has been in opposition for 7 years but he hasn’t brought out a single policy”, he said.
