CDD Survey On Passage Of Anti-Gay Bill Senseless- Moses Foh Amoaning Fumes
A survey conducted by the Centre for Democratic Governance (CDD-Ghana) has found that the passage of the Anti-LGBTQI+ Bill will let Ghana lose 6% of its annual budget funding.
The Proper Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill, in its current state, is seeking to criminalize the activities of homosexuals and ban any form of advocacy on it.
But experts are warning and predicting a grimmer outlook for Ghana’s economy should Parliament pass the Bill.
In a response to the CDD, a Private Legal Practitioner, Moses Foh Amoaning has said that the survey is senseless.
According to him, the survey is a strategy by the CDD- Ghana to cast dust into the eyes of the public.
Speaking with Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Wontumi TV Morning Show on Wednesday, the private legal practitioner urged Ghanaians not to be alarmed by the survey.
“Should we go and engage in that act because of money? Ghana is poor but proud. Later I will explain why the CDD-Ghana is part of the LGBTQI+”
The Executive Secretary of the National Coalition for Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values appealed for a tax to actors should Ghana accept it and use it to refund the 6% of the funding that would be lost.
He bemoaned that, LGBTQI+ is a serious issue adding it’s worse than slavery that shouldn’t be tampered with.
