The Western Regional Co-ordinating Council (WRCC) has directed Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to institute stringent measures to curb the surge in cholera cases in the Region. A young man has been arrested in connection with the death of an Okada rider who was beheaded at Gomoa Mfantse-Amoa in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region. Western Region Records 15 Cholera Deaths

The Western Region has so far recorded 15 deaths from the cholera outbreak with Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis and Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipality as the epicentres.
