Former Minister of Information, Fati Abubakar, has identified English speaking as the major challenge facing majority of National Democratic Congress (NDC) legislators in Parliament.
The affable former minister stated on Movement TV and Wontumi Radio that the English speaking challenge has ironically turned the NDC “majority” in Parliament into “minority”.
“Due to English, the minority has rather become the majority in Parliament”, she said before sarcastically adding ‘brofo y3 duro’.
According to her even though the New Patriotic Party (NPP) occupies the minority side in Parliament, their members have rather become the majority.
“People are suffering because of English”, she pointed out.
The NDC foot soldiers are lamenting on social media according to her because it was becoming clear they can’t flow fluently in English.
“They have become too weak. Even on committees that have been formed by them and packed with their members, when you call a NDC MP to testify, then they turn into Aladdin”, she mocked.
Reciting some of the funny sentences the NDC MPs have been reciting, Fati Abubakar, stated that “they say the table was in the air, sitting on…they are slaughtering the English language.”
