A Member of the National Communications team of the ruling NPP, Ellen Ama Daaku has labeled broadcast Journalist- Bridget Otoo as “kurasenibaa” to wit a primitive person following the latter’s uncouth response on Facebook towards NPP members.
Without mentioning Bridget Otoo’s name on TV, Ama Daaku revealed that the journalist wanted to capitalize on the introduction of e-levy charges to insult sympathizers of the NPP who didn’t side with her Facebook post.
“There is a lady who works in a certain media house, she sat on social media to insult NPP members that she has been charged GHC 125 on e-levy. She was insulting foot soldiers that we don’t have bank accounts. Are you right in your senses? How can you tell us we don’t have bank accounts?” Ellen Ama Daaku quizzed on Wontumi TV.
On Tuesday, April 4, 2022, Bridget Otoo took to her Facebook page to complain about the newly implemented e-levy after she claimed that she was charged GHC127 for a transaction.
She was however exposed as some commentators pointed out to her that the screenshot of her debit alert message she shared, was falsified because the date attached to the message.
Ellen Ama Daaku therefore thanked MTN for being quick to respond to comments they were tagged in and for exposing people who had wanted to use various social media platforms to spread false news about the e-levy.
